About me

Making Left over pie crust into elephant ear style cookies, rolling eggrolls with fresh from the garden ingredients, and snapping green beans into a five gallon bucket are some of my favorite childhood memories. At my grandma's house, food was the foundation upon which we built our lives. Preparing food and cooking meals would consume grandma's days, but it was a labor of love and a passion that she shared with me growing up. Her food brought friends and family together in the kitchen, in the garden, and even in the driveway (where the five gallon buckets of bean stems were stationed between our knees.)  Memories of those days fuel my own passion, not just for cooking and food, but a passion for family, friends, and sharing something special together.

Watching someone enjoy the food I made with my own hands gives me such a feeling of pride, and knowing that my efforts nurture my family fills my heart and brings me back to those moments I cherished as a child.
